Name: Suzume Ishikawa

Appearance:
Suzume has rose pink hair and it is styled short. She is of a slightly tall build, standing at around five foot seven; her body mass does not exceed one hundred twenty pounds. Her eyes are a soft teal color that darkens when she is serious. Often in a serious mood, Suzume has her real frowning face especially when she's training. Suzume has a rather ample bosom and isn't afraid to flaunt it off in the ways of her hakuda training, and it doesn't affect her ability at all.

Supporting a curvy frame, Suzume isn't one to wear things to compliment her figure. Even outside the Seireitei, Suzume wears simple clothing at all periods. Outside of the Seireitei, Suzume prefers to be barefoot and does not wear shoes. She also wears different clothing with different symbols. One says luck, another love, and another says dangerous -all are stitched on the back- and they all are the same color: white and black. She also has the traditional wrist protectors on her arms as well as the Special Forces outfit and her captain's haori. Her captain's haori has a maroon inside.

On her left hip is a small tattoo of the number thirteen to represent her Rukongai district. She also has another small tattoo right below it that says "love and happiness." She has a scar on her back from a fight and a narrow scar across her right hand from the same fight.
Personality:
Ishikawa Suzume is a wild-child. She is also unpredictable and self-righteous, thinking that she is the best. However, when it comes to fighting, she is alert and ready to do the best of her abilities, knowing that one screw-up can cost her and other members of her division their lives. She is very hard-headed and therefore stubborn, and hates being wrong. Despite it all, her general temperament is kind, caring, slightly rude to people she doesn't really know, and sturdy. By sturdy I mean knows her moral compass.

Suzume is sometimes well mannered and calm if the time calls for it and along with this she is very much like the weather. However, when she is around someone she likes she can be very flirtatious and bubbly. Suzume can also be quick to jump to a conclusion, whether it be the right one or not, she is still attempting to be sane in her own mind, never mind the people around her.

When it comes to romance, Suzume is quite the one to be lovey-dovey. She likes to cuddle and be near to people. She likes giving pet names and being called Sparrow-chan and other pet names in private. Suzume likes seeing guys that are sweet and don't mind being true to their feelings. It's the best way to convey your thoughts and emotions is through expression of actions and words.

Suzume also can get depressed quite easily, and when she is, lots of sake and smoking ensue. Suzume likes her sake and her cigarettes, but more of her sake. Having stopped smoking outside the academy, once Suzume lights a cigarette, you KNOW she is depressed.

Life as a Human
Hundreds of years ago, Ishikawa Suzume, the second born child of Kouryuu and Ouka, was born on December twenty-second, the first day of winter in Tokyo. Suzume, was a very beautiful baby girl and showed signs of both her mother's and father's Clans. Her older brother claimed that she looked exactly like her father, and in turn, him as well. Her personality traits however seemed to come from her mother's side and of course lead Suzume to be a wild-child. Suzume, like her brother was home schooled by her father in academics and other sensei's in basic knowledge of weaponry, hand-on-hand combat, karate, swordsmanship, art, music, and calligraphy. When she was twelve however, her and her fifteen year old brother went on a walk together and were captured by rouges who, when did not get the requested ransom, murdered them.
As A Soul
Suzume and her brother were murdered by rouges who requested a ransom; and when they did not receive the ransom, slit their throats. Suzume was murdered first, and as she lay in the pool of her own blood, she witnessed her brother's throat be slit as well; by this time a soul drifting above her body. Suzume waited several weeks before she was even sent to Rukongai by a Soul Reaper. She was afraid that the monsters that had been chasing her, she would turn into. Then, when the Soul Reaper came, he said he was sorry, and then the ceremony took place. Suzume didn't know then why the Shinigami said sorry, and what the monsters that were chasing her were called. However, Suzume was determined to find out, so after the ceremony, she started researching.
In Rukongai
When she arrived in Rukongai, an elder had welcomed her to the thirteenth district of Rukongai. An overall good place, but not the best. After a few days in Rukongai, she was hungry, and she had seen no sign of her brother. Keeping true to her promise when entering Rukongai, she started asking herself about what monsters were chasing her. More so she wanted to know why. However, finding no answers, she retreated from her search for the Monster question, and proceeded to finding where her brother was. When she asked an elder, who later adopted her, about her being hungry; the elder told her to go to the Gotei Juusan, where they would feed her and give her drink, because normal souls didn't get hungry. The elder also had said that anoher young man had also asked this, and the elder had told Suzume that the young man resembled her. Suzume was grateful to the elder, and did as the elder had said. Here in this home, she met Issun, and he was her adopted brother. They had the same dream, and they both cooked up secret plans, then they entered the Academy in hopes of a better life in which they might prosper. However, before these events, they struggled. The life in Rukongai was a tough one, and therefore longed to enter the Seireitei and join the ranks of the Shinigami. So, the two of them did.
Shinigami Academy
Upon entering the Shinigami Academy, her life was tough in the beginning. Having trouble on some of the questions for the entrance exam, she finally passed, and she started taking classes that revolved around hakuda, houhou, and kidou more than zanjutsu. The acts of binding someone and then beating them to a pulp had attracted the young girl, and so in fact she learned more and practiced harder. Struggling slightly with the fact of life, Suzume picked up on bad habits when she was stressed, but later, she lost them (for the most part). After six years of normal teachings, and four more of Onmitsukidou training, Suzume graduated and became a member of the second division and the Onmitsukidou.
Life in Second Division and Onmitsukidou
No one really can comprehend the harsh punishments dealt by second division captains, and if they do, man. Suzume was punished almost bi-weekly and it was because she didn't do something right. It was hard enough that she was stationed in the Patrol Corps, but honestly, it wasn't ever easy in Onmitsukidou life; However, she was finally able to actually do something about it. Training harder in her spare time, hardly ceasing to eat and rest, Suzume found herself seated at seventh seat after one hundred and fifty years. Unsatisfied, Suzume trained harder still, eventually rising through the ranks of the Second Division.
